Other networks say they do this and do that only to truly be hypocritical of others in so many ways, but I’m my experience in many years now in service we have been given the red carpet treatment through and through. There isn’t a cable company, nor cell phone carrier that’ll ever be able to give you the quality customer care that you’ll be given within Directv and At&t. Not Comcast, not Verizon, not Charter, DEFINATELY NOT LIARS AND STEALERS SPRINT, not anyone. To be fair, At&t back in the day experimented with using third party contractors which I believe led to loss of customer base, so years recently in the area I live in currently the contractors are now all At&t employees and the service now rendered is a ten fold turnaround. So if you were an unlucky victim of those third party hacks, try back soon and you’ll see a change of the way business with them is done. We did, and so, our venture with both At&t and Directv has been a marvelous one.
By Ash funny I know remember why I dropped Directv the first time. The genie box’s UI is horrible and full of bugs. The on demand programming is the worst. Example watching on demand on my living room box and go to put an on demand show on the bedroom box it stops the one on the living room. Ok guess I can only do one on demand show at a time. Not a huge deal but still it irks me because it’s using my internet which is plenty fast enough. So I put the bed room show on HBO go on my Roku and go back the the living room and now the on demand show isn’t showing up in smart search or under the channels on demand page.
I had to use the app on my phone to tell it to record just to get it to show up on my list so I could play it. Don’t even get me started on the connection issues with the app.
I find it hard to believe AT&T would put their name on this subpar buggy junk. I don’t know who manufacture your equipment or who writes the software but AT&T needs to clean house and hire a whole new more qualified team.
By Trenthorne This app is nearly impossible to search for shows or sports you want to watch. Half the time it doesn’t even see my Directv boxes in my home when I’m at home and connected to my WiFi. So far, everything I’ve ever tried to stream doesn’t work as it’s blacked out from mobile or PC, or I’ve had a technical issue. Also, you can’t see from mobile device what’s set to record.
Many times I cannot delete recorded shows from my phone and last but not least, you can’t orient your phone in landscape for viewing, so nearly all descriptions are truncated. Oh I did forget - let’s say you search two days ahead in guide mode.
You see something interesting, click on it then go back. It takes you back to now in the guide vs the day and time you originally selected to view.
Bottom line- this app would’ve been awesome in 2007, but needs to join 2017 if it wants to set itself apart from. Well any other app in terms of reliability, consistency and feature functionality.
